Here is my beautiful daughter on her very first day of Kindergarten. She was sooo excited to start school! No nerves from her, just excitement. I did pretty good on her first day, no tears (well, a little tearing up, but nothing that anyone else could see). School has gone really well for her all year. She only went through about 3 weeks of not wanting to go to school. Other than that, she has wanted to be there, wanted to go and been such a good student.
Now this is Makayla on her LAST day of school! She has grown up soo much! She really did love school the whole year and made a lot of cute little friends. She has completely outgrown all the clothes we bought her at the beginning of the year, and even some that we got her at christmas. She is reading and doing math already, she struggles a bit with spelling, but that's cuz she is sounding it all out and spelling phonetically, which doesn't always work, but she tries so hard. Since school has ended hoever, she has been spelling things to me as she asks for something. She does pretty good that way! We are just sooo proud of her!! Now, on her first day, I had no tears . . . However, on her last day, I bawled. My baby was done with her first year of school!! But actually, I blame it on the pregnancy! ;-)

She teaches the all day kindergarten class at Tanaka Elementary. She is an awesome teacher!! We are sooo grateful that Makayla was able to have such a wonderful teacher! She really went above and beyond with these kids. Makayla loved her and asked if she could be her teacher in 1st grade too!
